Life Skill Training Program on AI Tools

Department of Computer Science in association with IQAC and Navjeevan Lokvikas Sanstha has organized a one week Life Skill Training Program on AI Tools from 27th January 2025 to 4th February 2025 for the students of T.Y.BSc(CS). The program was conducted under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, and Vice-Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh. The event is being coordinated by Head of Computer Science Department Dr. Shabana Shaikh, and Ms. Shaheda Ansari, Assistant Professors Department of Computer Science.


Day 1: 27th January 2025 – What is AI
Day one was conducted by Mrs. Afreen Pathan. She began the session by providing an introductory understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its types, and its applications in daily life. The session aimed to familiarize students with the basics of AI and its increasing role in shaping modern society.
Day 2: 28th January 2025 – Text Based AI Tools
The Day 2 session was conducted by Mrs. Afreen Pathan. The objective of this session was to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize text-based AI tools, specifically ChatGPT, Grammarly, Jasper, and QuillBot.


Day 3: 29th January 2025 – Image and Design AI Tools
The day 3 training program on Image and Design AI Tools was conducted by Ms. Afreen Mansoori. Ms. Afreen began the session by giving a comprehensive overview of various AI-powered tools in the fields of image generation and design, highlighting how these tools have revolutionized the creative industry. She emphasized that Image and Design AI tools allow users, both experienced designers and beginners, to create professional-level visuals with ease, significantly improving efficiency and accessibility. The session provided students with valuable insights into the world of Image and Design AI tools. By learning about tools such as Mid Journey, Stable Diffusion, Canva, Adobe Express, Looka, Tailor Brands, Planner 5D, and Shapr 3D, students were equipped with the knowledge and hands-on experience to leverage AI in various creative fields, whether for image generation, logo design, or 3D modeling.


Day 4: 30th January 2025 – Video AI Tools
The session on Video AI Tools, conducted by Mr. Afreen Masoori on day four, began with an introduction to what Video AI is and why it is increasingly important in the media and content creation industries. Mr. Afreen introduced the students to four innovative Video AI tools that are transforming the video production process: Synthesia, Runway ML, Pictory, and Descript. She explained the unique features and applications of each tool. Students performed the hands-on using the Pictory tool.

Day 5: 31th January 2025 – Audio AI Tools, Automation AI Tools
On Day 5 of the session, Ms. Afreen introduced the topic of Audio AI tools, Automation tools, and their impact on productivity. She began by explaining Text-to-Speech AI tools, showcasing Google Text-to-Speech, ElevenLabs, and Amazon Polly. Students practiced with ElevenLabs to explore its capabilities. Next, she covered Speech-to-Text tools like Otter.ai, Whisper by OpenAI, and Rev.ai, with students practicing Otter.ai for transcription. Ms. Afreen then explained Automation tools, focusing on workflow automation with tools such as Zapier, Make, and Microsoft Power Automate. Lastly, she discussed AI Chatbots and Virtual Assistants, introducing tools like ChatGPT, Drift, and popular voice assistants (Google Assistant, Siri, Alexa), showing how these technologies boost productivity by automating tasks and enhancing interactions.


Day 6: 1st February 2025 – AI Productivity Tools
On Day 6 of the session, Ms. Afreen introduced various AI Productivity Tools, explaining their role in enhancing efficiency. She covered AI Task & Time Management Tools like Notion AI, Motion, and Todoist AI; AI Writing & Content Creation Tools such as ChatGPT, Grammarly, and Jasper AI; AI Email & Communication Automation Tools including Superhuman, Boomerang, and Ellie AI; and AI Focus & Distraction Blocking Tools like RescueTime, Freedom, and Brain.fm. After discussing these tools, Ms. Afreen gave the students three assignments to apply their learning: creating a poster for hiring, building a website, and producing a 1-minute video using AI tools. These assignments provided students with practical experience to explore the capabilities of the AI tools they had learned about.
