This session aimed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of IPR and underscore its significance within startup ventures.
The distinguished guest speaker for the event was Dr. Shabib-Ahmed Shaikh, Ph.D., a Senior Technical Officer (IT) at CSIR Unit for Research & Development of Information Products (URDIP), NCL Campus, Pune, and an Honorary Assistant Professor at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR).
Dr. Shabib-Ahmed Shaikh’s expertise in information products and academia made him well-suited to lead discussions on IPR.
A total of 62 students from FY, SY, and TY BBA CA attended the session at the Conference Hall, demonstrating a keen interest in understanding the intersection of IPR with their potential roles in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Dr. Shabib-Ahmed Shaikh’s delivered an exhaustive overview of IPR during the session, covering various facets including patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and commercialization, tailored specifically to the context of startup ventures. He emphasized the importance of each aspect in safeguarding and monetizing innovations, augmenting his explanations with real-world examples and case studies to illustrate their practical implications within startup scenarios.
