Under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, Vice Principal Dr. Amjad Shaikh, the Department of Computer Science, organized a life skill training session on “Power BI Business Analytics Tool” in association with IQAC and Vision for Youth foundation, for F.Y.B.Sc(CS) and S.Y.B.Sc(CS) students on February 1, 2025. The event was coordinated by Dr. Shabana Shaikh Head department of Computer Science and Mr. Mohammed Abdul Quddus.
The workshop aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in data visualization, business intelligence, and the practical applications of Power BI in real-world business scenarios.
The session began with an overview of Power BI, emphasizing its role in business intelligence and data visualization. Students were introduced to how businesses use Power BI to make data-driven decisions and streamline operations. The workshop covered several key aspects of Power BI, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of its potential to transform raw data into meaningful insights:
Real-life case studies were shared, illustrating how businesses use Power BI to enhance decision-making processes. The potential for automating reports and sharing insights through Power BI Service was explored. The session commenced with in-depth exploration of the tool’s various features and functionalities. Over 130 students attended the session with great enthusiasm!
