The one-day live training workshop on “Mastering Competitive Exams: Preparation Strategies, Foundational Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning Techniques” was successfully conducted, bringing together students, faculty members, and expert speakers to guide aspirants on their journey toward competitive examinations. The workshop was jointly organized by the Department of Mathematics, Poona College Academy for Competitive Examinations, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), and ANEES Defence Career Institute, Pune. A total of 171 students actively participated in this workshop, making it a highly engaging and interactive session. This program was organized under the guidance and supervision of the Honorable Principal, Dr. Iqbal Shaikh, and Vice Principal, Dr. Amjad Shaikh, whose continuous support and leadership ensured the smooth execution of the event.

The Vice Principal & Workshop Coordinator, Dr. Amjad Shaikh delivered the welcome note, setting a positive and engaging tone for the day. His insightful words highlighted the significance of competitive examinations in shaping students’ careers and the necessity of strategic preparation.

The first session of the workshop focused on career counseling and an overview of competitive exams, including preparation strategies during and after graduation. The session was led by Colonel Vijay Kumar, a seasoned mentor who has guided numerous aspirants toward success. His session provided in-depth insights into the structure, preparation techniques, and expectations of various competitive exams, inspiring students to approach their goals with determination. His talk was followed by a session by Ms. Sadaf Peerbhoy, the management head at ADCI, Pune, provided practical guidance on career counseling and success strategies. She emphasized the importance of consistent effort, goal setting, and time management in achieving professional success.

The second session of the workshop focused on foundational mathematics, where students were introduced to key mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques essential for competitive exams. Mr. Shahrukh Khan, the keynote speaker for this session, demonstrated various mathematical shortcuts and techniques to enhance efficiency in solving quantitative aptitude questions. His session was followed by an engaging and insightful talk by Mr. Faiz Ali Qureshi, who elaborated on aptitude and logical reasoning. His expertise in the subject helped students understand complex reasoning patterns and logical problem-solving strategies, equipping them with the skills required to tackle aptitude-based questions in competitive exams.

A dedicated Question-and-Answer session was conducted, providing students the opportunity to clarify their doubts and seek guidance directly from the experts. This interactive segment allowed students to gain further clarity on various aspects of competitive exam preparation, study techniques, and career planning.

The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Mukhtar Shaikh, Coordinator of, PC Academy for Competitive Examination. The faculties from the Department of Mathematics put in dedicated efforts to ensure the success of this workshop. Ms. Ayesha Ulde and Mr Ayeman compered the session. The session began with reciting a few verses from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Mehboob, invoking blessings for a meaningful and successful workshop. Ms. Suhana introduced the speakers of the day, providing a brief overview of their expertise and experience. Ms. Annanya proposed a vote of thanks.
