WORLD TOURISM DAY CELEBRATED BY Department of B.VOC TRAVEL TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT, POONA COLLEGE ON 27th Sep 2025 ⛲🛕🚃🚉
I’m delighted to share that, under the esteemed leadership of Principal Dr.Iqbal N Shaikh the Department of B.VOC Travel Tourism and Hospitality Management (TTHM) organized Industrial Visit on World Tourism Day.
Our destination was Shaniwarwada PUNE, one of India’s best Historical tourist place.
It is the most magnificent mansion built for residence of Peshwas by Peshawa Bajirao in 1730 A.D. It is Nationally Protected Monument of Archaeological Survey of India.
Our visit on World Tourism Day was truly exceptional. Students generously contributed their insights for smooth itinerary planning. We started from Swargate Metro station and travelled towards our destination.Students had the opportunity of exploring Metro travel, various important aspects of Metro tour. We got a warm welcome by cool rainy weather. Informative boards inside supported a brief introduction about the place.
Later, students explored various doors of Shaniwarwada like Dilli Darwaja, Mastani Darwaja, Ganapati Darwaja. They got detailed information of Peshawa Samrajya through e-walk audio guide information. The sixteen petalled lotus shaped fountain called Hajari Karanja is truly stunning.
This excursion proved to be a remarkable exposure and a valuable learning experience, our students exhibited unwavering enthusiasm and dedication, setting a promising tone for the year ahead.
The industrial visit was coordinated by Ms.Swati Kharat along with Mr.Shakeel Shaikh. And we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Farooque Shaikh, Nodal Officer, BVOC for his support in organizing this trip.
In conclusion, I applaud the 24 students participants for their visit exemplary obedience and discipline, which significantly contributed to the delightful and unforgettable experience of this trip.
